One of the most beautiful places in the world! At Ord on the Isle of Skye, you see the mountains—the Cuillins. Ord has one of the most spectacular beaches, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have painted there.

The landscape commands your attention all of the time in this spot with its flickering light shows. I hope in this painting I’ve managed to capture the range and breadth of colours.

The Isle of Skye in Scotland is an undeniably magical place on earth, and this particular place, Ord, has a detailed beauty all of its own. The way the Cuillins rise in the distance whilst the beach stretches out in the foreground creates such a powerful sense of scale and drama.
